WEEK OF 5/15/23 PROGRAM NOTES
This week we will be transitioning away from the pure strength that we were previously doing with Wendler’s 5…3…1. Before we begin another strength cycle we will be focusing on building more ligament/tendon health along with muscle hypertrophy. These auxiliary “BUILDER” workouts will involve similar muscle groups and one movement will pre-fatigue the next. These movements should be done slow and concentrated with full ROM. Keep the weight light!
We will be dabbling in “MURPH” practice throughout the week to prepare for the volume on Memorial Day.
Still working on Olympic lifting Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Wednesday will be a long, light weight grinding workout.
Thursday we will stay away from tissue wear and tear and work on expanding our VO2 max with intervals on the machines.
Saturday will be heavy.
Sunday will be 8:30am Olympic Lifting followed by 9:30am Zone 2 recovery and 10:45am YOGA.
